There are 3 main benefits I see with having an RSS feed:

1. RSS can deliver current information from the Internet in our areas of expertise or interest.
2. RSS can provide content for websites and blogs.
3. RSS can bring additional traffic to a website or blog.

Number 1 would be the important to a user such as myself, but for big time bloggers, number 3 may be a more attractive reason...
